• One of the locks on the Rochdale Canal that passes through the centre of Manchester.
• A canal boat traversing a lock on the Rochdale Canal at Canal Street (the centre of Manchester's gay district).
• An external corridor on the annexe of Manchester's City Hall.
• The starting place for Manchester. Within a hundred metres of this area is the meeting of the Medlock and Irwell rivers - the point where the Romans founded Mamucium (place of the the breast like hill). The railways and canals destroyed most of the remains of the fort. This is also the start of the Rochdale canal and the point where it is connected to the Manchester Ship Canal. The Irwell also marks the boundary between Salford and Manchester.
