spaceless Games Three Musketeers

Three Musketeers

A game of unequal forces by Haar Hoolim, from Sid Sackson's A Gamut of Games (1969). Three musketeers face twenty-two of Cardinal Richelieu's men on a 5×5 board. A musketeer moves only onto a square held by an enemy, capturing him; an enemy moves only into an empty square, and never captures. The enemy wins by forcing all three musketeers onto a single row or column. The musketeers win the moment they're left with no legal move at all — with no enemies free to capture, they've survived.
